  • The use of groups is a very important part of social media. Have you tested different messages and measured their effectiveness? If so, which ones were more effective and why?
  • davidschwimmer
Hi Bill, I see now that it's in addition to instead of in place of Twitter.
  • rodseip
    Hey Bill,

Loved the video. Very helpful. Thanks.

One thing tho. The music is way louder than your speaking voice.

    Cheers.

    Rod.

P.S. What happened to your Twitter Account?
  • Thanks Bill for the helpful information. I am new to blogging and I want to find people I can trust.

    Thanks again

WILL THIS WORK WITH A FB FANPAGE?
  • BillCrosby
    Absolutely it will

Thanks for sharing this. I recommend people use friend lists to keep their contacts sorted for various reasons. It's a great idea to keep your tweeps segregated as well. I just discovered your blog and look forward to reading more...

    Aloha,
    Brian Campbell
  • BillCrosby
Segregating tweeps has been impossible, until now...
  • However the beauty of twitter is the instant response and the global reach to people you wouldn't normally have contact with. For me facebook is about close friends and family and sharing information that you don't want others to know about. The business side of things should be dealt with elsewhere unless you are doing some sort of affiliate marketing, banner add or promoting a product.

  • What a nifty idea, organization is something I need alot more of, this will help a bunch, keep the tips coming.

Great video. I'm trying to figure out how to get traffic. I am working on a blog that I want to publish... just to get traffic. I will not sell anything...just give out valuable information on money for college, (grants, scholarships, loans, etc)
  • SisterSonia
I like your suggestion and I am going to try it. Thanks for a simple and yet invigorating way to connect with my friends and community.
  • hi biLL THANKS FOR ACKNOWLEDGING ME!!! IW OULD LIKE TO KNOW YOU BETTER!!! THANKS!
  • Like to thank you Bill for the upfrontness about what you present. Nothing behind the package. I am extremely new to computers in general, yet lately I have been given a Google profile feature and my adsense is approved. No big deal to what I see around, and I admit I can only image possibilities. I am an artist so my main goal is not so much money, but people to see my work. I have had you in my blog following for some time and you are in my reader. Not even sure if I am doing this all right, but you have been the one person I have felt comfortable in listening to, because I feel you have a desire to share as well as attain!
  • Great! I need to do this ASAP...

to my Followers, join me in my Facebook account... lol!

    Thanks Bill!
  • Diane
Hey Bill, I still don't quite get it.

    Hi.Bill.
I have wanted to post a video bio for some time. I believe it would help in all aspects of my online endeavors. My challenge is that I have a speech impediment which, although I can be understood in person or on the phone, when I tape myself, I am almost impossible to understand.
I was wondering if you feel a recording done with a friend to speak for me would go over or just turn people off? I'd appreciate your input if possible.
By the way, I'm up to over 4000 followers so far, but I'm being a little selective in who I follow.
    Thx Al. Foster
  • BillCrosby
I am a big fan of authenticity Al. Why don't you record and send me something in private by youtube and I will be happy to tell you what I think. It is almost always better to be yourself.

Hi Bill great video, you always have great stuff to watch. I follow you on Twitter and Facebook.

  • Hi Bill,
Great video but the sound levels go right down when you start talking so it is very difficult to hear what you are saying. I think your ideas are very useful and I will be implementing them myself.
Frank Kern is very keen on the use of video in blogs to build trust so that people will buy from you. I will be trying this out on my blog at http://membershipgoldrush.co.uk/blog.
I will also be following you, on Fridays on Social Media channel on Ustream.tv, Bill.
So keep up the good work, Chris
  • Very good Information Bill. When over at Facebook a person can learn a lot more and build a more solid relationship with friends.
  • As usual Bill great stuff thnx. Great tunes too!!
  • Great way to get noticed thans a lot That was excellent, Bill. I added that update to twitter right away. Loved your suggestion about facebook
  • Bill, thanks for sharing the video. I had not been comfortable promoting Facebook for business until I saw this. I now feel I can do justice to the relationships with my baby boomer entrepreneur friends, my growing number of twitter friends, and my friends from earlier times in my life. Now I know how to keep that in balance and provide personal attention.

    My pleasure Zee!
  • I always felt that Twitter was limited in allowing me to introduce myself to Twitter followers. Thanks for the info, Bill.
  • Hey, I'm still using your Twitter Traffic Machine, in a more passive way, but I love the concepts I learned and slowly but surely my twitter followers are growing steadily. I actually just started doing this exact same thing on Facebook too, but now I"m going to try it more like you suggest in this video. Good information... This DisQus is a good find too... Thanks for that!

BTW, in case you didn't know when someone attempts to fill in the "$10K for 100 in 2009" with their Name and Email address, it brings up a page that says, you don't have permissions to view documents on this page or something like that... Although it did still send an email... Just thought you should know in case it was something important... :)
  • Thanks Bill! Great advice.

  • Thanks, Bill. Great idea! I'm wondering if this works with fan pages as well, or whether you have to "friend" them on your personal profile (I'm guessing you do, but will check it out).

Thanks for the video.I purchased you Twitter course and have 2-accounts set up and in less than a week I have about 5,000 followers between the 2-accounts. I learned a lot from the course but I'm still having trouble converting followers to sales. Any tips you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Bill, thanks for sharing this strategy! Also, thanks for the TTM, I have been using it for 3 months and it's a crazy time saver for me!
  • @billcrosby As usual Bill great video, now I know I should set up friend lists on FB...thanks
  • That was excellent, Bill. I added that update to twitter right away and next I'm going to add a similar status update to my http://www.myspace.com/officialstevencravis (Myspace only recently started allowing hyperlinks in the status messages).
  • This is awesome, Bill. I just did that to my twitter update, as well as I think I'll do a similar one from my myspace status which now allows hyperlinks (which it didn't for years)!
  • great social media engaging info, thank you
  • Good quick video, like the new office. Have you done anything on posting efficency, ie.. Doing something on one of your social profiles where it automaticly post or update everywhere else. I know there is a lot of tools/plug's for this I guess I just looking for your take on it.

Will see you round Bill :-)

  • I was wondering if you have any advice on how to streamline the facebook experience like you did with twitter. I have been using your method in twitter to just develop a meaningful network of people, but facebook seems to have some other significant limitations (so many apps, no control over where things are placed, errors...ect)

By the way, I love the plant in the corner. Looks like your office is coming along nicely.
Take care and I can't wait for the video this afternoon.
